My friend is building a dope street Corolla. It’s about to be painted, here are some pics from the prep.
Pretty well stripped. Engine and transmission are on the ground in front of it. See the suspension - this was once a formidable street machine with a fancy built engine. But it’s been on hiatus for a few years getting ready for paint. Extremely light, simple, RWD sedan is a disturbingly good combination.

I originally bought it as a means of getting me to and from college with the intention of turning it into an autocross car after school. But this past year I moved and I need a daily driver that is durable enough to get through Philly roads 4 times a day which would kill the MR2. So rather than sacrificing the MR2 I want to give it another chance at life with someone else.

Fair enough :) I’m sure you’ll miss it. At the moment I feel like any other car would feel like a let down compared to my MR2.

Steering wheels were so good looking before airbags.
I think Porsche is doing a good job of combating this
which is funny when you remember they made these for like 15 years.ew

Those are nice, things are better now with smaller bags.
I remember from my first Z32 300ZX vs my second. The second was so fat, and having the cruise control controls off the wheel was annoying too.
